Sew much Fun!

I am really going to have to learn how to take better pictures of the things I make, especially if I am going to be sharing them on a blog. I was recently in a swap and this is what I made. I decoupaged a paper mache box with a vintage sewing pattern and vintage sewing images. I glued buttons and other embellishments on the box and filled it with sewing supplies. It's too bad that sewing thread does not come on wooden spools anymore, I love those. I tried to find vintage looking things to fill the box. I made a needle book out of felt and added a blank card that I made. I had fun doing this and think my swap friend really liked it. The paper I used for the card was "Cosmo Cricket, Material Girl" and the stamp is from Stampin' Up "Puns from the Past" set. The label shapes on the card were cut with my Cricut and I don't remember the cartridges. I'm bad about that. Enjoy.

That turned out beautiful, I love it. I know the picture thing can be hard I have a bit of an edge my hubby is a photographer and gives me tips. I always use natural light, and some times when the opposite side is darker I use a piece of white foam core from the $1 store and bounce light on that side, it makes a good fill light. Anyways thought I would share one of my tips with you~ Hugs, Diane

Camille,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I had to look at yours right away, and I am signing up right now as a follower. I think we are a lot alike, and I hope to get to know you better! And, by the way, Keren from Free Pretty Things For You designed my page, and I am so thankful. She was absolutely wonderful. I knew what I wanted, but don't have the technical skills to do it so I decided to find someone whose work I love and go for it. Please visit often, I have so many things to share with all of you. I will definitely be back to see you soon! So I'm your newest follower!

That is a fabulous box you've made. I too have trouble taking photos. I seem to take about 30 photos of one thing just to get ONE decent one lol I use up a lot of batteries in my camera lol
